I got in one little fight and my Mom got scared
That was me earlier today... well, not literally me... I am not a young Korean girl attending Keimyung University in Daegu, South Korea. And more importantly, I do not own an orange pencil case (or any other color pencil case for that matter).
But yeah, I had a huge midterm in my international relations class earlier this afternoon and studied my butt off for the last 24 hours. Apparently, the studying did not help. I got my ass handed to me on a platter, an image that I sadly could not find a picture of on Google image search.
I figured that these songs would convey all of the emotions that I'm feeling right now--namely a little exasperated, exhausted, and sick of school.
Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin -- Let's Get Tired!
Al Green -- School Days
Scotland Yard Gospel Choir -- Good Kind Of Crazy
Koufax -- A Sad Man's Face
Hard-Fi -- Sick Of It All
Are any of you DC kids going to see Hard-Fi at the Black Cat on March 30th? If so, I'll be the spazzy little girl dancing up near the front of the stage.

Love is in the air
The temperature is rising, the sun is staying out longer, and spring is just about upon us. You know what that means: flowers, sunsets, and love in the air. Well, love and avian flu in Western Europe... but just love if you live in the lovely District of Columbia as I do.
There's nothing better than romance and good weather. I mean, it brings together some of my favorite things, namely hand holding, long walks, and general dopiness. I'm psyched! (Recommendation: The Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, DC, is the perfect setting for all of these activities and more).
Anyway, if you know me personally, then you'll know that I like my love songs like I like my maple syrup, sappy as hell. To kick off the best season of the year, here are some of my favorites... enjoy... or at least, don't laugh at me.
Bryan Adams -- Everything I Do
Ryan Adams -- Come Pick Me Up
Ris Paul Ric -- I Wish You Love Me
The Cure -- Just Like Heaven
Kylie Minogue -- Love At First Sight
Good news, Kylie's cancer is apparently in remission!

Here Comes The Sun, Doo Doo Doo Doo
According to the experts of Wikipedia.com, "the Sun is the spectral type G2V yellow star at the center of our solar system." It "is a ball of plasma with a diameter of 1.392 million km (864,950 mi) and a mass of about 2.0×1030 kg" and produces light and heat for the inhabitants of Earth.
Light and heat are two things that I'll get a lot of during my trip to St. Lucia next week. Conversely, they are two things that the residents of New England will not experience until like late April. Eat your hearts out, suckas!
Today's theme? SUN.
Pernice Brothers -- Working Girls (Sunlight Shines)
PS. They very well may be the ugliest band in the history of rock and roll (yes, I have seen pictures of Nickelback), but Joe Pernice certainly makes up for it with pretty melodies.
Jason Collett -- I'll Bring The Sun
PS. Another member of the Broken Social Scene produces an excellent solo album. Seriously, go buy Idols of Exile if you're a fan of alt-country, Americana, and/or good songwriting.
Belle and Sebastian -- Another Sunny Day
PS. The Life Pursuit is the best Belle and Sebastian album in years.
Len -- Steal My Sunshine
PS. Buy your copy of their hit cd, You Can't Stop The Bum Rush, for $.01 on Amazon.com
PSS. You can also buy a copy of their new cd, Diary Of The Madmen, on Amazon.com but really... why would you ever want to do that?
The Lashes -- Sometimes the Sun
PS. One of the catchiest songs of 2006 thus far. 'Nuff said.
